War Memorial Stadium, located on the University of Wyoming Campus, is set to undergo a significant transformation over the next three years. This extensive multi-million-dollar project will revamp the entire western side of the stadium. The lower west seating area will be completely revamped, featuring a blend of new boxes and seating to provide fans with enhanced comfort and options.
As part of this renovation, a brand-new club level will be introduced between the fresh lower seating and the existing upper seats. This club level will offer premium indoor amenities and grant access to the new Loge Boxes, providing an elevated game day experience for spectators. Additionally, the space beneath the stadium will be transformed into a vibrant plaza area, boasting multiple concession choices, modern restroom facilities, the Brown and Gold Outlet, and updated visiting team locker rooms.
Another crucial aspect of this project involves the renovation of the press box. It will undergo a comprehensive overhaul, including the expansion of available space, installation of new elevators, and incorporation of state-of-the-art technology.
Throughout the construction process, War Memorial Stadium will remain operational during the 2024 and 2025 football seasons, ensuring minimal disruption to the games. The demolition of the existing lower west stands is scheduled to commence in December of 2023, following the conclusion of the Cowboy's home football season. This project aims to enhance the overall stadium experience and provide modern amenities for fans and athletes alike.
