Arete Design Group worked with Cushing Terrel cooperatively to develop the design for a significant expansion to the The Sheridan College Technical Center serves Welding, Construction, Diesel and Machine Tool Technology students. Due to an increased demand for these programs, the college completed a 13 million dollar renovation and expansion of this facility that was completed in fall 2018. The Technical Center is key to training tomorrow’s workforce. The Center features 52,000 total square feet of instructional training labs, classrooms and flexible space. In addition to a complete remodel of the existing space, the expansion includes a brand new welding lab; a wheeled lab addition to the diesel lab; and new classrooms, faculty offices and common areas for students.
